Editor-in-Chief
With the commencement of the academic year, it is my delight to introduce the new staff for the iPulse. As Editor- in-Chief of the paper, it is my hope to continue with the traditional format of providing students, faculty and staff with university and community news on a timely manner.
“The iPulse has come along way since Professor Stefanie Powers took it over,” said Scott Plumb, senior. “I look forward to being a part of the staff and taking it to the next level.”
During the summer months, the busy bees in the newsroom were quite active preparing for the implementation of a new interactive news site. On a daily basis, students in the iPulse class will broadcast live iPulse news updates on the radio, television and Internet. These live updates will be premiered on a new website. In addition to daily updates, each Friday, the iPulse will produce and edit a 30-minute weekly live broadcast.
“I am excited to promote the iPulse and get more students involved, “said Chrissy Thibodeau, senior. “I hope the new broadcasting aspect will enhance readership.”
Readership will also be augmented with the launch of our new commercial style news racks. The five racks are located around campus and will improve circulation.
“The addition of the news racks is essential to enhance accessibility of the paper”, said Carolina Gonzalez, junior.
This year we will also continue our partnership with the Boca Raton News. Every Thursday, the best of the iPulse will be featured on a full page spread. This allows the community to get an insight on the happenings on Lynn’s campus.
“Make sure to pick up a copy of the Boca Raton News each week,” said Gonzalez. |
