Stefanie Powers has had excellent
opportunities to work in the field of
communication throughout her career. She
has worked as a staff writer for key
publications in the South County area
including the Boca Raton News and
Forum Publishing Group, covering general
assignment stories. In addition, she
produced two weekly columns entitled
“Educational Achievers” and “Voice of the
People.”
In addition to teaching at
Lynn, Powers is the chair of multimedia
journalism, the faculty advisor for the
student newspaper, iPulse, co-chair
of internships for the College of
International Communication and a freshman
advisor.

In addition to working at
the Boca Raton News and Forum
Publishing Group, Powers worked at
Pierson Grant Public Relations. At
Pierson Grant, she represented a variety
of clients, such as Olive Garden Italian
Restaurant, Jamba Juice and the Broward
Center for the Performing Arts. Prior
to becoming an instructor in the College
of Communication, Powers
coordinated all academic
projects for the Office of Academic
Affairs. In this role, she assisted the
Vice President of Academic Affairs in
support projects for all the academic
colleges as well as academic units at
Lynn University.
